If a woman gets pregnant, a maternity nursing record book is given to the mother as soon as the Health Section is informed of the pregnancy. This handbook is used to record the course of the pregnancy and to record the baby's growth, vaccinations, etc. To promote problem-free deliveries and to ensure the health of the baby and the mother, regular health checkups are essential throughout the pregnancy. The city covers the cost of two health checkups. A special health checkup ticket for pregnant women is needed to obtain these free checkups (only the specified checkup items), however. If you have any questions, contact the Health Center. (For example, questions related to moving in while a mother is pregnant or returning to the mother's parents' house temporarily during a pregnancy.)
[Vaccinations] The city shall notify you of information on vaccinations when your child is around two month old. Please refer to the "public announcement Atsugi." The city also promotes the following.
