The Lyceum is used for events and meetings, and provides
a base for the cultural and art-related activities of our
citizens. The main facilities include a large hall (1,400
seats) with the latest in stage, acoustic and lighting
systems, and a practice room with a grand piano, a small
hall (376 seats), exhibition rooms for drawings,
calligraphy, flower arrangements, and other art,
Japanese-style rooms that can be used for Japanese
dancing, folk songs, and “tanka” gatherings, and
large and small conference rooms. There is also a
restaurant on the 4th floor where you can enjoy a meal
and views of the scenery around the Lyceum.

Anyone can enter freely. The book and the magazine arranged in row on the bookshelf can be freely used. Back issues of the magazine and newspaper can be seen too. Feel free to ask the stuff.
Residents of Atsugi, Sagamihara, Hadano, Yamato, Isehara, Ebina, Zama, Ayase, Aikawa-machi, Kiyokawa-mura, Hiratsuka as well as those who work or study in the Atsugi are allowed to borrow items. The Central Library can provide guidebooks in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, and Korean. |

・Fill in the “My Town Club Application Form” and submit it at the counter. Please bring your ID card (driving license, medical card etc.) to check the address and a“My Town Passport” will be issued.
・This “My Town Passport” can be used in the Chuo library and the moving library ‘WAKAAYU-GO’, as well as in eight community hall libraries (Echi-kita, Mutsuai-kita, Koayu, Mori-no-sato, Tamagawa, Aikawa,
Mutsuai-nishi).
・To borrow items at the library, bring them along with the “My Town Passport” at the counter.
・One can borrow up to 15 items (10 books and magazines, 5 CDs and Videos )for 2 weeks. |

| [Bookstart program] |
| The Central Library offers a “Bookstart”
program for parents of newborn babies.
This program aims to teach parents how to
read picture books for children and how
to use the library as a source of picture
books to deepen the relationship between
parents and their babies. Those parents
who are interested in “Bookstart” are
requested to come to Central Library with
their maternity record book. |

The Information Plaza provides citizens with a space in
which they can enjoy the world of information
communications. Citizens can enjoy the Internet and PC software freely. A My Town Passport is necessary to use the Information Plaza.

Exhibits archeological remains excavated from sites in
Atsugi, data on the trunk roads in the modern and feudal
era, historical documents of the then feudal lords,
general information on Atsugi at that time, and specimens
of the animals and plants that can be found in Atsugi in
a way that is easy to understand. The Local Data
Exhibition Center also has a learning consultancy room
for citizens. The center offers seminars and lectures as
well as observation classes.

The Atsugi Partner Center provides seminars and other
learning opportunities for promoting a gender-free
society. The Partner Center also supports the activities
of circles such as those related to culture, music, and
physical exercise.

The Atsugi Young Community Center features a lobby,
seminar rooms, studio, and a hall, where the young people
of Atsugi can gather together, make friends, and enjoy
refreshments.
