The emblem consists of the three kanji characters
that spell out "Atsugi" and a stylized hiragana "あ" ("ah")
which seems to be made up of three ayu (sweet fish) to symbolize the harmony and
the development of the city's citizens. |

This symbol is used to promote the building of an attractive
citizen-based town community in which everybody finds it pleasant to live. The
mark shows the shining heart of the citizens, set against splendid fireworks in
the sky.
The basic colors of the symbol are red to represent our passion for building a
citizen-based town community, blue to represent the clean river, and green to
represent our rich natural environment. |
