What is “Preventive First Aid”?
Some injuries treated in EMS and transported by ambulances are preventable with a little caution.
“Preventive First Aid” is the action to consciously avoid major injuries called for emergency by understanding and keeping in mind the risks of bodily harm on daily basis.
Let’s start up “Preventive First Aid”!
The dispatch number which is an ambulance in Atsugi-shi, from 2012, beyond 10,000cases,when,there is fear that future will be also increased by development of aging.
So when data of emergency conveyance is analyzed, I don’t ask about indoor outside and fall down*, and falls, for striking, a chosen case is happened to see much, and in particular, the percentage of the emergency conveyance by senior citizen's(more than 65 years old)injury is the increased tendency
Number of people and elderly persons transported by EMS due to injuries accounted in the past 10 years in Atsugi, as seen in Fig.2, has also been increased.
Analyzing the emergency transport data of injures in Atsugi, there were many cases of “Tumbles”, “Falls”, “Bumps”, etc., both indoors and outdoors.
These accidents can be prevented by “a little attention” and “Preventive measures” in everyday life. For the safety and security of everyone’s life, let us start up and work on “Preventive First Aid” by recognizing the danger on daily basis by referring and analyzing the past data.
Causes of Injury Based on Emergency Transport Data During 2020
As you can see from the Fig.3, “Tumbles”, “Falls” and “Bumps” account for a high percentage in all age groups.
Looking at it by age groups,
- Under 10 years of age, “Bumps” and “Accidental Ingestion/Suffocation” are high.
- Until the 40s, “Bumps” is the highest rate compared to other age groups.
- In the 10s,and In the 40s, “Cuts / stabs” take a large percentage.
- From the age of 70s and over, “Accidental Ingestion” accounts for the largest percentage.
When it'll be seen at an occurring place
"Housing" then "fall"but it`s the high percentage,occurs most by the room and next is occurrence at a bedroom and stairs.
"The location of public going in and out of" then,"fall"*"fall"but it`s the high percentage and occurs much by an emporium and a parking lot.
"Road "then, "tumbles"it occure much
It occurs most by "housing",so usually,1`ll Work on prevention emergency and live without an injury safery.
